Indian Institute of Science (IISc Bangalore) is known for its excellence in research and higher education. The admissions process has been summarized for the academic year 2025. Aspiring applicants wishing to enroll in an Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) or Doctorate (PhD) degree should do so. IISc’s four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) is the primary program through which it offers undergraduate courses. You can specialise in a number of subjects, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, earth science and biology through this program.
There is also a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) program in Mathematics and Computing. After four years of this program, you can get a specialised degree in mathematics, computation, electronics and electricals.
Eligibility: Candidates must have completed their class 12 through recognised boards with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Admission is typically based on national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, IAT, or NEET.
These programs are available at IISc in biology and chemistry. These programs prepare students for jobs in academia, research, and industry by offering a solid theoretical basis together with practical research experience.
Eligibility: You should have a solid academic history and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. The Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is the basis for admission, and an interview follows it.

Eligibility: You must hold an engineering bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in order to be considered. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) results determine admission, and interviews are conducted for the shortlisted candidates.
If you have an interest in design and innovation, IISc offers MDes programs with specialisations in product design and engineering design.
Eligibility: You must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Design or equivalent with a valid CEED/GATE score or should have a degree/diploma from NID/NIFT/MIT and a valid CEED score. You may face a Design Aptitude Test and an Interview.
The unique Master of Management program IISc offers focuses on the intersection of technology and management. If you complete this program, you will have the managerial skills necessary to thrive in today’s fast-paced business world. These skills are especially suited to the technologically advanced environment.
Eligibility: You must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent or a master’s degree in Science, Economics, Commerce, or Operations Research, with a good academic record. A valid CAT/GATE/GMAT/GRE score is also required. Shortlisted candidates are called for a group discussion and interview.

Below we have provided the important details with some instructions regarding the IISc Application Form 2025:
Cut off will be the minimum marks set by the official authority for every registered Applicants. The cut off list will be released separately for every required national level entrance examination. The Official Authority will release the cut off marks for every category individually. Applicants will have to score more than prescribed cut off marks to be eligible for further admission.
IISc 2025 Cut off list will not be sent to any Applicants individually through post or any other offline mode. Applicants will have to check the cut off marks by themselves through the official website.
Rank list/Merit list will be released by the official authority after the completion of registration process. Official authority will release the IISc 2025 Merit list for selected applicants for further admission procedure only. Applicants will be selected for the admission on the basis of their performances in the required national level entrance exam.
The merit list will contain the all India rank of every shortlisted candidate for admission procedure. Applicants will be able to check the merit list through the official website.
