Why Choose the IISER Pune Summer Programme?
The program is designed for students to:
- Gain practical research experience in diverse fields like biology, chemistry, data science, physics, earth sciences, humanities, and mathematics, with a strong interdisciplinary focus.

Eligibility and Requirements
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a non-IISER Pune student.
- Be currently enrolled in:
- 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of B.Sc/B.Tech/B.E. (or equivalent) at the time of application.
- 1st year of M.Sc/M.Tech (or equivalent).
- Have a minimum of:
- 60% (or equivalent) in overall grades, or
- 80% in the particular stream relevant to your project of interest.
How to Apply?
- Select a Project:
- Browse the list of available projects, which will be accessible on the registration page starting 1st February 2025.
- Visit faculty webpages to match your interests with their research focus and methods.
- Ensure that you meet the project’s knowledge and skill requirements before applying.
- You may apply for up to 2 projects.
- Application Process:
- Fill out the online registration form, which will be available from 1st to 21st February 2025.
- If required, contact the concerned faculty for technical information via email. Avoid multiple emails if no response is received.
- Duration:
- Projects will last 4 to 8 weeks, between May 15th and July 21st, 2025 (tentative dates).
- Modification:
- If you need to revise your application, simply re-register with the updated details. Only the latest entry will be considered.
Support and Resources
Selected students will receive:
- Free accommodation in IISER Pune’s student hostel.
- Note: Students are responsible for their travel expenses and hostel mess charges (~₹6,000/month).
Important Dates and Deadlines
- Registration Period: 1st – 21st February 2025
- Project Duration: 15th May – 21st July 2025
- Selection Results: Announced by 31st March 2025
