Courses Offered by IISER Mohali:
The institute primarily offers integrated BS-MS (Bachelor of Science-Master of Science) dual-degree programs in various academic programs such as Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Humanities and Social Sciences. The degree is known for its interdisciplinary approach and significant research component.
Structure of BS-MS Programme (Dual Degree):
- Core Semesters (First two years): Includes courses in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
- Majors (3rd and 4th Year): Specializations in various core subjects with option to choose a minor.
- Research Year (5th Year): Focused research work during the thesis year.
Integrated PhD Programme: Combines M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies.

The cutoff for admission to IISER Mohali typically varies from year to year. It depends on various factors, such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the entrance examination, and the availability of seats in different programs.
So, if you’re someone who’s targeting IISER Mohali, you should aim for 135+ marks. However, if you want IISER Mohali in the first round as the first preference, you should aim for around 155+ marks for IAT 2025.
