The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has started IIT JAM 2026 registration on September 5, 2026 at jam2026.iitb.ac.in. The last date to fill out the registration form is October 12, 2025. IIT JAM 2026 Application Form: Required Documents

IIT Bombay will conduct the IIT JAM 2026 exam on February 15, 2026 for admission to MSc, MSc (Tech.), MS (Research), MSc  - MTech Dual Degree, Joint MSc - PhD, MSc - PhD Dual Degree, and Integrated PhD in multiple disciplines offered by IITs.To apply for IIT JAM, candidates must provide the following documents: educational certificates, a passport-size photograph, a valid photo ID proof, a scanned copy of their signature, and a caste/category certificate (if applicable). 1. Class 10th marksheet with the candidate’s date of birth

2. Category certificates, such as OBCNCL/EWS/SC/ST/PwD (if applicable)

3. Physical Disability Certificate and Unique Disability Identification (UDID) Number (if applicable)

4. One of the photo ID proofs among Aadhaar ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, or Voter ID

5. Scanned copy of candidate’s passport-size photo

6. Scanned copy of candidate’s signature

While applying for IIT JAM 2026, candidates must upload a clear, high-quality passport-size photograph with the correct dimensions. This helps the exam authorities verify the applicants’ identity. Check the photo dimensions and specifications below:

IIT JAM Application Form 2026: Signature Dimensions

Candidates need to upload a scanned copy of their signature while applying for the IIT JAM exam. For this, they must sign on a blank white sheet of paper (without ruling) using a blue or black ink pen. Note: All the letters of the signature should not be capital.

IIT JAM Application Form 2026: Certificate Dimensions

Candidates belonging to OBC (NCL)/EWS/SC/ST/PwD categories must upload their category certificates to leverage the benefits offered to the reserved categories. They can upload one of the following certificates before or on October 12, 2025:

• SC/ST Certificate

• OBC Certificate (Only OBC Non-creamy layer is eligible.)

• PwD Certificate (Persons with Disabilities)

• EWS Certificate (Economically Weaker Section)

The documents mentioned above should be in PDFs. The size of these PDFs should be between 10KB and 300 KB.

IIT JAM 2026 Application Fee

To submit the IIT JAM 2026 application form successfully, candidates will also have to submit the application fee along with the required documents. The category-wise application fee details are available as follows:

Note: Candidates who make errors in filling out their category, gender, test city, or date of birth can correct these details at jam2026.iitb.ac.in before November 10, 2025. A correction fee of INR 300 will be applicable.
